Eureka!

Located in Halifax the Eureka museum is great for the kids! Entertaining and educational the Eureka Museum is another great attarction not to be missed! Yet the prices for admission are heavily priced yet if you keep your tickets/recipt they are valid for free entry throughout the year. Children can play and learn at the same time and the musuem is perfect for all ages.

Standard admission to Eureka!, including your free Annual Pass, costs just:

  • Aged 0-11 months: Free!
  • Aged 1-2: £3.45
  • Children aged 3+: £9.95
  • Grown-ups: £9.95

Car Parking

Pay and display parking is available at the on-site Eureka! car park, open every day (except 24-26 December) from 5.30am to 8pm. The car park machines accept all coins except 5p, 2p and 1p. Please have the exact amount as no change is given.

Blue badge holders can park free of charge. There are designated blue badge spaces outside of the museum and in the rear car park.

National Coal Mining Museum 

Put on your hard hat and battery lamp, step into the 'cage' and descend 140m underground; follow your ex-miner Guide through the chilly, dark tunnels to find out how coal was mined and moved to the surface by men, women, children, ponies and machinery. Located in Wakefield, the national coal mining museum is a educcational visit packed with fun and excitment

The museum contains one of the finest private collections of toys in the North of England with a particularly fine display of early English wooden dolls. Located in Ilkely another goo dmuseum however reviews are different according to diffeerent time periods.
